KIT-Kalaignarkarunanidhi Institute of Technology, one of the best Engineering College in Coimbatore, is located at a distance of 12 kilometers from Coimbatore Railway Station and 8 kilometers from Coimbatore Civil Aerodrome. Set in a calm and congenial locale, the college stands nestled in a spacious campus set in a vast area of 5 lakhs sq.ft with five storied buildings house classrooms, laboratories, library, faculty rooms, conference halls, administrative and residential areas.

The Vijayalakshmi Palanisamy Charitable Trust established in 2006 was founded by the illustrious entrepreneur, philanthropist and revered social activist Thiru.Pongalur N. Palanisamy, Former Minister , Govt. of Tamilnadu.

A Post graduate in M.A Political Science and he holds a Diploma in Cement Manufacturing Process. He is well experienced in the Scientific Mining Process of Excavating Iron Ores, Granite Quarrying and Wind mills. His excellence and experience have realized the vision that is KIT.

Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology (KIT) is an engineering institute committed to excellence. The growth that we have witnessed for the past five years is a testimony to this fact. Every single detail is given utmost care and attention to bring out the best in every student. We strongly believe that we would realize our dream – to mould the younger generation as innovative engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs who would add glory to our great nation.

The spacious auditorium is built in a carpet area of 15,000 Sq. feet with an elegant and artistic architecture. The fully air conditioned hall has a raised platform of 1500 Sq. feet to gain the complete attention of the spectators. The auditorium is facilitated with mesmerizing audio system to make the audience spell bound. The effective sound system lends a hand to grasp the valuable ideas of the speakers. The hall is designed with the seating capacity of more than 2000 spectators.

The auditorium is well furnished with dining facilities in the ground floor and has the capacity to accommodate 1000 members.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The library with 20 systems are active in the Digital Library section with Internet access facility. Usage is restricted to educational purpose only. Online accesses to 90 International Journals are arranged under Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) memberships are available in the digital library. (www.ieeexplore.ieee.org) and DELNET facilities are also available.

He has 14 years of experience. He has given valuable guidelines to many M.L.I.S, B.L.I.S and C.L.I.S student.   He has published 14 articles in National and International Journals and published 1 chapter in 3 books each. He has presented 2 papers in International conference and presented 7 papers in National conference. He has participated in 10 National conferences.
